How To Apply what is process ?

Pre-requisites before starting the CMAT Registration: 
We suggest you have the following ready before starting the CMAT registration process 
•  A Computer with good Internet connectivity so that there is no breakage of Internet during registration  
•  All your qualification details as you need to enter them while registering for CMAT exam  
•  You need to upload your scanned photo while registering, hence keep ready a scanned clear photo of yours 
taken on a white background. The size of this photo should be 140 x 160 (60Kb)  
•  You need to upload your scanned signature while registering, hence keep ready your scanned clear 
signature done on a white background. The size of this signature file should be 60 x 90 (30Kb)  
•  A Valid e-mail id which you will be using at least for the next 6 months. All communication will be done 
on this e-mail id which you will enter while registering for CMAT exam  
•  A Valid mobile number as all information via sms will be sent to this number  
•  A valid Credit / Debit card in case you want to pay ONLINE  
•  A Printer connected to your system as you will have to PRINT 3 copies of CHALLAN in case you are 
planning to pay by CASH at the bank. 



Registering for CMAT is a 4 Step process as mentioned below:

Step 1) First time you will enter as NEW USER. Here you will read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and proceed 


Step 2) Self registration:  Here you need to enter few basic details. Please ensure you enter the correct details on this Self Registration form and verify it before you click on SUBMIT button on this page. Once you SUBMIT this page, you cannot edit any data entered on this page. Submitting this page will generate a unique 6 digit password. This password will be shown on your screen and will be sent to you via e-mail and sms.  From now onwards, whenever you wish to login to the registration portal, you wcome as an EXISTING USER

There  shall  be  negative marking  for wrong  answers,  for  each wrong  answer 1 mark shall be deducted 

Duration of exam will be 180 minutes 

A Trial test will be available from 10th Aug. onwards for  the candidates to have a feel of  the online  test and navigation  functionality. Candidates are advised  to go though  them carefully  to  familiarize  themselves  with  the  screens,  layout,  and navigation. 

At  the  test  venue,  each  candidate  will  be  seated  at  a  desk  with  a  computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper  for calculations. After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed  inside  the  testing room. No breaks will be given during the test. 

What is Eligibility Criteria to get Admission for PGDM, MBA, PGCM, & Executive PGDM

Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses can apply for CMAT.

1   Management (PGDM, MBA and similar)  
Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination  
2   Management (PGCM)   Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration  
3   Management (Executive PGDM)  
Any recognized Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration and a minimum of 5 years relevant managerial / supervisory experience.  
Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination 

What is Admission Process of CMAT ?


The  detailed  merit  list  will  be  provided  to  the  respective State Governments for allotting the students through central counseling  or  otherwise  as  per  their  notified  admission procedure.  
In case  there  is  no  central counseling Scores  awarded will be  used  for  admission  in  the  AICTE  approved Institutes/University Departments.

COMMON MANAGEMENT ADMISSION TEST (CMAT)- 2013-14 (FIRST TEST)

AICTE  has  launched  the  National  level  Common Management  Admission  Test (CMAT)  for  facilitating institutions  to select suitable students  for admission  in all management  programmes  approved  by  AICTE  since 2012-13.  

 AICTE has now decided to conduct CMAT twice a year. 
 The  notification  is  issued  to  announce  the  schedule  for conducting  first Test of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for admission for academic year 2013-14.
  

The students will be  eligible  to  appear  in  both  the  exam and best of  the  two scores will be used  for admission  for 2013-14.
